Nari: an unflinching examination of rape and sexual abuse. Two conflicting testimonies given by two unreliable narrators. Who is telling the truth? Does it even matter?
Cut me in Two: A married couple discovers they're pregnant. Into this happy and hopeful space steps something dark. The soon-to-be father finds himself slipping down a tunnel where nothing seems real, and yet everything is.

I've always been drawn to psychological thrillers that make you question reality, and "Amnion" in this bundle does exactly that. The way Sharath describes Rishabh Dhar's childhood home creates an atmosphere that's both nostalgic and eerily foreboding. What I found most captivating was how he portrays the complex relationships between Rishabh, his elder brother, his parents, and the shadow cast by the death of his twin sister - all beautifully rendered. Looking forward to exploring more of Sharath's work.
I found Sharath Komarraju's writing to be remarkably intricate. "Amnion" reminded me strongly of "The Exorcist," but with a fascinating twist that makes it distinctly Indian in its sensibilities. The complex relationship between Dr. Rishabh Dhar and his dead twin sister is portrayed with such depth. The 30 Day Money Back Guarantee convinced me to take a chance. I'm very happy I did!
"Nari" stands out as my favorite for its unrelenting and realistic portrayal of sexual abuse through the conflicting inner voices of two people—Ramya and Nari—both giving convincing testimonies. Lots of little nuances and details that make the story so rich. No wonder it was shortlisted for multiple awards. Being able to download these books instantly without waiting for delivery was particularly convenient during a time when I was searching for thought-provoking fiction. Highly recommended!
The three novels each offer their own unique journey into the human psyche, but 'Cut Me in Two' stands out for its particularly empathetic examination of fatherhood through the lens of a man trapped in his own mind. Excellent value for money for fans of psychological novels. Makes you question characters and motivations until the very end - sometimes well past the end!
"Amnion" is my favorite of the three books. The subplot narrative of "Amnion" is particularly revealing for the character of Rishabh Dhar, whose transformation as he works to resolve past issues with his dead sister is beautifully presented. The way Sharath crafts his characters with such psychological depth, particularly in showing Rishabh's journey from denial to acceptance - was great to read. Delivers an emotional punch.
