I really liked the straight-forward, conversational writing style. It is devoid of all religious propaganda; Sharath treats the Mahabharata and its characters as literary treasures. The respect he has for the epic and its people is evident in his writing. I'd heard of Sharath before with his Murder in Amaravati, but this was the first time I took a chance on his work.
